Helping Parents Through The Turbulent Teen Years

Updated: Jun 24

Every week, I spend hours in my office coaching teens.

They tell me what they are thinking, how they are feeling, what they are excited about, and what they are afraid of. I get to talk to them about where they are and where they want to be, what’s working in their life, and what needs some new direction.

It’s amazing to me how open, raw, and honest they are. Almost like they were just waiting for a space to be seen, heard, and vulnerable.

As a life coach for teens, I absolutely love my work. In my eyes, there is nothing more important than helping and guiding kids through those really turbulent years. It really is a privilege to do what I do, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to help guide anyone who wants or needs help.

I think the hardest part of my job is hearing how worried, scared, anxious, upset, and frustrated parents are, and seeing the disconnect between how their teen is thinking/processing things and how the parent views that and reacts.

One of my solutions for this is a space where I can share with parents what teens so desperately want them to hear (even though they aren’t always communicating it) and a space where I can help parents understand how to best connect, guide, and help their teen grow into an emotionally and mentally healthy young adult.

It is an honor and a privilege to do this work, and I look forward to helping guide you through this overwhelming time in your life.

Stay tuned for more!
